April 1, 2024: Intent to Exhibit Deadline . Your digital image may be a work-in-progress if your piece is not yet complete.

May 1, 2024: Deadline for NESBA receipt of your hanging/entry fee payment.

May 12, 2024: Deadline for delivery of artwork to your delivery person.

"From Solstice to Equinox: Winter Botanicals" - Member Virtual Exhibit

This online show by NESBA member artists focuses on botanical portraits of plants in winter. Their palette may be muted and subtle, but their stories are still complex and fascinating, especially to botanical artists. Twigs and bare branches, seeds and seedpods, naked trees, next year’s leaf buds, dried grasses and leaves, and evergreens populate the winter landscape waiting for your artistic expression.

Call for Entries: “Finding our Roots” - NESBA 2022 Members Exhibit at Tower Hill Botanic Gardens (deadline for intents: March 15th)

This exhibit is open to all current NESBA members.

Roots are an essential part of all plants, but one rarely seen since, except for aerial roots such as in orchids, the root(s) are usually underground. Botanical artists regularly include the root system in their paintings and drawings of all types of plants - flowers, vegetables, bulbs, and trees. The inclusion of vegetables also coincides with the period when Tower Hill’s large edibles garden is being cultivated…

Shaker Gifts: Seeds, Herbs, and Medicinal Plants - Fruitlands Museum - Harvard, MA

New England Society of Botanical Artists members’ exhibit at Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, MA

Fruitlands Museum has one of the preeminent Shaker collections in the world. Some NESBA paintings will be selected for exhibition with the 1790s Shaker Office, and others will be displayed in the Wayside Community Gallery.
